I’m still new to Maya, but I feel like I can model a regular character, so I decided to give it a try.
UV: Since it has a long and narrow shape, we made it rectangular in size, and since it has a uniform color tone, we overlapped the islands as much as possible to save resources.
Fill: Use Stylized Texture Generator for Substance Painter to apply a light gradation.
Pose/Motion: I manually created the keyframe animation for the kurune motion using the video of the character moving as a reference.
